Erica Leavitt, MD

Dr. Erica Leavitt is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs surgeon. She has extensive expertise and training in Mohs surgery, reconstruction and cosmetic procedures, and medical dermatology. Dr. Leavitt is passionate about providing empathetic and personalized patient care.

Dr. Leavitt received her Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, where she graduated summa cum laude with Highest Honors and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She then went to medical school at the University of Southern California and graduated with Highest Distinction, inducting her into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena before completing her dermatology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. At UCLA, Dr. Leavitt received extensive training in medical, cosmetic, and procedural dermatology.

Upon completing her residency, Dr. Leavitt pursued an accredited Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship to become an expert in advanced Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology. She completed her fellowship at Cooper University Hospital under the tutelage of Dr. Naomi Lawrence, one of the leaders in the fields of Mohs surgery and cosmetic dermatology, and the former president of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

During her fellowship Dr. Leavitt received outstanding training in Mohs surgery, including Mohs for melanoma and other rare tumors, as well as complex reconstruction techniques. She also received training in cosmetic procedures including Botox, fillers, lasers, chemical peels, and microneedling. This fellowship provided the most advanced training available in dermatologic surgery, making Dr. Leavitt well-equipped to serve her patients in all aspects of procedural dermatology.

Dr. Leavitt has published original research in leading dermatology journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and has presented at national and regional conferences. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

When not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors in beautiful Southern California, comedy clubs, and skiing. Dr. Leavitt is excited to provide compassionate dermatologic care and Mohs surgery to her patients.
